cutting out at 4k
#1
so i got my turbo **** done, pretend this is a turbo2.
so at 4k under boost while driving it cuts out like a rev limit sounding thing and the wideband reads 14-15.
in neutral itll go to redline no problem.
i have 720 secondaries, so i thought it was a rich spike until i checked the wideband.
no boost gauge, so no numbers on that yet but i have a fcd anyways, and its on stock boost.
what could cause the secondaries to not come on at all? i think that could be what it is.
also, since i relocated my battery when i turn off the ignition is takes a few seconds for all the electrical stuff to turn off, and the motor keeps going for 5+ seconds every time.
what is it, is it related? i ran the positive to the starter pos lead and the negative to a body ground.

fixed the car not turning off, had a fan wired straight to ignition switched power, someone suggested that that caused it, and it did. it turns right off now.
but i still need to fix the cut out.

if the secondaries dont come on, the mixture kinda gradually leans out above 3500ish
if its abrupt, like its fat, and then suddenly way lean, then the ecu prolly thinks the secondaries are working when they arent. its a simple circuit it works like this....
its either a mechanical problem (ie bad injector, bad harness) or its the ecu doing something wierd from some reason
battery -> one of the fuses in the fuse block (i think its the egi one?) -> main relay -> injectors (they are all powered off of the same black/yellow wire) -> ecu -> ground.
so theres a couple checks, make sure with the key on engine off, the ecu has 12v at the injector pins, the ecu is on the ground side, so if it doesnt see power, theres a problem with the harness/wiring
ive also seen injectors stick when they sit for a long time, usually if you power it, and tap on em, they will start working again.

under lighter throttle it doesnt cut until like 4.5k
i think the injectors are working becuase itll go to redline no problem in neutral.
but ill check the injectors and wires..

so me and moike figured out that the secondary injectors werent getting any power.
okay, ran a new power wire to them, still cuts out.
so unless my power wire came off when i put the uim on, the ground wires going to the ecu are shot or something.
which pin on the plug is it? so i can check it out and maybe run new ones to see if that fixes it.

nothing?
what all is there that could cause the secondaries to not come on?
somebodies gotta have something
found the pins in the fsm, gonna run new grounds ot the ecu tomorrow if i can, see if that helps. if not i guess my ecu is shot.

R u running the stock ecu? Do you have a fuel cut defender? u could be getting boost creep under load the ecu will cut fuel if boosting too high to prevent a lean condition even though your afr is ok do to the 720s the ecu will not know its running bigger injectors and think the engine is lean. Is it a s4 pr s5? what upgrades have u done?

k, wires to the ecu are good, they have 12v going through the injectors to the ecu with the key on.
so, injectors have power, injectors have ground to the ecu, they click then given seperate power and ground.
so short of my ecu being friggen shot, is there anything else that would cause the ecu to not fire the secondaries?
