My turbo has low compression so it frequently wants to flood.

I installed a push button to ground the fuel pump resistor relay so I could hold the pump at low voltage while cranking.

That is getting me going until the rebuild is ready.

well, i got it to turn over today!!!

i pulled the plugs so i can listen for compression! and it was there, i got all three "chuggs" from each rotor( i pulled the top one out of the back one, cranked, put it back in then pulled the top one out of the front rotor, cranked and put it back in) but i noticed was that the plugs were dripping wet!!!!

so i pulled all 4 blew them out and let them dry, put them back in and vuala! she started!!!! but the tach wasnt working, so after i let it run for a minute or 2 i shut it off and tryed starting it again, but no go!! so i pulled the EGI fuese again and cranked it a few times, then put it back in and cranked it, got a sputter but didnt start.

i pulled the plugs again and they were dripping, again. so im drying them out again but this time jsut the prmarys(the top ones with the blue boots are the primarys right?? lol) and i will be giving it another go shortly!!

id like to thank EVERYONE who posted up to help me!! saved me about a grand lol.

u guys are soo much cooler than those dead beats at RX7club.com, i didnt get one reply over there > lol

but now, i need to know if anyone can tell me y its running so rich on start up?? i have an safc (not in yet but will be as soon as i get this puppy fixed!), but that wont be able to correct on start up would it??

thanx again guys!!!

Next time you get it running DO NOT shut it off after only 1 or 2 minutes running. It takes longer for the engine to warm up than 2 minutes. You just add to the flooding problem by shutting it down during the cold start cycle. You also need to get the oil back circulating to help with compression.

When I pull my EGI fuse and crank it over the tach does not work when I put the fuse back in. It will start back working after the next ECU cycle.

One good product that I run in my engine is Sea Foam. Seems to really help with running and starting. Supposed to help clean out carbon and lubricate.

I get it at Oreilly's and run it in my motorcycles as well.

Alright! Somebody answered my question about Seafoam and rotaries before I could post the question. Thanks. How much did it help you out after you did it?

yeah, well i got it started again and drove it around and it bogged like crazy!! and it also sounded like i had a LOUD BOV next to the firewall, so i broght it home, left it running, and tightened the ic clamp cause i for got to after i poured in some 2 cycle oil lol, then i took it around town for awhile and got it nice and warm, but it still didnt run right i took it to the car wash casue it needed one badly!! well, they finished drying it and i went to start it and leave, it wouldnt start!! so after futsing with the EGI fuse some i got it running and came home!

but it still doesnt run right, theres something wrong but idk what it is it feels like a slight bog but im not sure. theres like a weird noise comming form the engine when i get on it too, but its hard to explain.....................ill see what becomes of the situation and try to get it all figured out!

thanx again guys for your help!!
