i have been told that the driveshaft from any convertible FC AUTO will fit the TII tranny and bolt to all NA diffs. now i know that it will bolt to NA diffs because there the same rears in all non turbo diffs.

but the shaft that enters the trans is what im not sure about, anyone know this will work?

TII trans, convertible automatic driveshaft, NA diff...?

so Rob...

by any chance do you have a auto driveshaft and a TII trans handy that you can try putting the shaft into? you did your swap recently right?

J9, how much shorter? if its a small difference and the shaft still enters the tranny enough, it would still work. when i changed my NA driveshaft i measured 2 different S5's, and one S4. they were all different lengths. the most being over an inch different.

i have a TII trans handy. but no auto drive shaft to test with.

Edit: i noticed i keep writing convertible. i dont know why. i mean to write auto trans. a guy with a convertible told me this. thats probley why its stuck in my head.

I replaced my entire drivetrain-driveshaft, trans, and rear included.

My car was already a manual car

so will a n/a manual driveshaft fit a TII rear?

Just got my TII rear about to do the swap, getting really old replacing rears bc of the squeeze.

thanks for that link...

and according to those measures. the auto drive shaft would work with a TII trans and NA rear. but its 2.25 inches shorter.

that just might be to short.
