I have a 87 n/a rx7 and i want a faster one. i also want a project so i was wondering if i can convert it to a turbo. please help me thanx

it can be done. you need time, money and mechanical know how. moving this to the 2nd gen forum

ive been there u dont really wanna mess with it..... thares alot to do.... unless u wanna just drop a jspec in there and upgrade the tranny...

what all needs to be done, wouldnt you just need to replace the engive witha 13b turbo engine?

the engine, along with the ecu, transmission, driveshaft, differential, and halfshafts, oh, and the hood, unless you are going with a front mount

Wiring harness, Gauge Cluster, Dash harness, Just buy my 87 TII instead

why would you need the guage cluster? is it different between n/a and turbo?

haha yeah the turbo one has boost gauge. dont do the conversion that what i was gonna do but have decided against it. you can just buy one for what you would spend on converting one. just buy a TII

everyone says that, ok, if you can find me a TII anywhere withing 200 miles of my house, that will be cheaper than doing a conversion, and not be beat to crap, and ready to **** itself, then I will buy it.
