65hp from welding your 5/6th ports open and a straight exhaust...

Was this exhaust manifold back, or what.

I don't think we could patent pipe, that would be like trying to patent watter.

question... does wirig open the ports actually increase horsepower? i mean they open at 3800 anyway.... whats the difference... arent you just losing low end?

yes, you only have to wire them open when they are not opening properly on their own. Or if you are trying to remove the sleeves and actuators in hopes of improving flow... though the port shape in the end housings for the aux ports is not good for flow stock without the sleeves.. better off with the sleeves in with the pineapple inserts or other custom modification...

if they are already opening on their own, u don't gain anything by tieing them open, u just lose low end.

i can say for certain that it is nowhere near 65 hp (over stock). the most rwhp i have seen out of a stock NA block is 200, and that was with everything tuned, not just a straight pipe. but i am sure it is a significant gain with jsut the straight pipe. it is amazing how much the cats can change the performance characteristics of an engine
