I am having an issue with my car running like crap when I come to a stop or slow down to a coast... Once I am completely stopped it idles up fine... I get the occasional back fire on deceleration also... Not real loud or anything but its there... Although this is irritating it is not the real issue... I just thought it might be related to the real issue...

Now for the real problem...

When I run my AC I cant come to a complete stop or put the shifter in reverse without the car dying... It is an automatic... Again... It only dies if the AC is running... It just acts like it is going to die if the AC is not running but idles back to perfect when I come to a complete stop...

For those of you whose answer is "Remove the AC"... Move to Texas for a summer and drive a car daily with no AC... You will quickly come to realize why I have not done that...

Thanks for all and any help...

I would imagine you could maybe just bump up the idle a little bit so that way when you use the a/c and idle dips it wont stall? Dont know for sure honestly, all of my rx7s have a/c removed

Idle air control. There's a thingamajig that's supposed to bump up the idle speed when the A/C kicks in.
