Well, when I bought the car, the a/c wasn't working, and the last owner ghetto rigged a light switch to engage the compressor clutch. I recharged the system, but am going to need to replace the compressor sometime before summer (I picked one up from a fc3s guy). Well, the problem is that when the a/c is turned on, the clutch never engages. I ripped out the nasty wiring the old owner ran, and now it looks like I have neons, because I ran a nice toggle switch and mounted it in the center console. My question is, since I don't really have access to my car for another few weeks, what do you think would be the most common failure areas between the logicon and the compressor's cluth wire? Thanks in advance

That's a good question. I always blamed my logicon for my non-working a/c. There were also other things the logicon seemed responsible for. My wiring was in good shape and unmolested.

If it's not the logicon, a quick perusal of the schematics should yield your answer.

I'm kinda hoping it's not the logicon. I saw the prices on Mazdatrix (though I bet I could find a used one on ebay). Looks like I'm just going to have to get the Fluke out and trace the wires. Thank God for the service manual

I know what you mean. That thing is a real pia to take out of there. That one connector way up at the bottom of the windshield is a bitch.

Best of luck with it.
