Does anyone know if there is any weight difference in the S5 leather seats and S5 cloth GTU seats?

My TII seats are trashed, I mean really trashed, but luck has it still have my old S5 GTU parts car and black cloth seats are damn near perfect. Just curious if I will get any real weight savings from this.

I plan to lighten up the car little bit also, ditch the spare tire and jack, and pull the car out to clean it and remove the sound deading crap. Also trim up the front bumper some when I try to fit my FMIC. I will consider this my 1st stage of streetable weight reductions. A few months down the road I might buy a non-turbo CF hood. I hear they weigh around 12 lbs compared to the 30 lbs AL stock Turbo II hood.

Any other ideas for weight removal, given that I have decided to keep the PS and A/C per another thread I have asked questions about.

Smaller, relocated fuel cell, reconsider ditching the ps/ac systems and bracket...

Well, the worn leather seats weighed in with brackets, 46.5 LBS on a digital bathroom scale and cloth seats with brackets, on the same scale weighed in at 42.5.

I've measured the cloth seats at around 30# or a little over.

That makes the leather seats about 10# more per seat...

the ebay sparco knockoffs that I have are lighter than any of the stock seats. I dunno exact, but somewhere in the 20 to 30 range.
