i dont get it? they use stock mazda pads they bought in bulk. they race the car in enduros and win. its a very low buck car compared to some of the competition. the stock pads arent that bad, i'm sure they would be faster with hawk blues but those are more $$.

look at the tires theres nothing left on em.

The original post is asking for an upgrade.

I don’t think he is talking about buying in bulk.

And yes stock pads suck. That is why your friend buys them in bulk.

if the stock mazda pads work well enough to not be dangerous on the track (fade) I'm going to have to lean towards them not sucking.

How you can derive them as sucking based on k2rd's purchasing them in bulk to save money is beyond me.

I can’t believe I am debating about stock brake pads vs. performance pads. I hope this site isn’t dominated by a couple of kids that have riced out their 7's. If you have no track or race experiences don’t chime in (my friend did this or my friend did that). You opinion is great for the Oprah show, but track time and race seat experience is priceless.

I can’t even imagine how much time it would take to get over 7000+ posts. It's not time spent in the car seat or the garage.

Let stay on track here guys, and answer aggie's question. Boxstock, stop hijacking this poor guys thread

Aggie, if the break pedal feels crunchy, you best check your pads out first. And then look at your brake fluid, if its black, you need to change the fluid. Its not easy and takes some skill and time. I just put the bonez pads pn my car and they do not fade. A new master cylinder and good brake fluid couldnt hurt either (brembo, AP Lockeed, motul) they are all good fluids. In my racing experience, which is mostly with open-wheel cars, hawk pads have faded, and failed time and time again. Their production car pads might be different though

All in all, stick with the OEM pads if you are just cruising around and drag racing.

you're a dick, IMO j9 knows his **** much more than you

How do you know the rules of the class that K2RD is racing in? Maybe they are limited to using stock brake pads thru racing rules and stipulations. This **** aint ****** rice either, none of us FC guys are rice, and i take that as a personal insult when you say crap like that. I somewhat know everybody in the FC forum and we all hate rice.

how mindless is this? You can get alot of posts when you can be on here while at work.

Personally I run Powerslot rotors and Axxis metal masters.

I got the rotors because I needed new ones and the main reasons

I got the powerslots was because they are about the same price as

OEM. 2nd- The hubs DONT RUST, which was important to me, why put

17" rims on the car to show off rusty brake hubs? The slots I dont

care about, what made me choose the rotors I chose was because they

dont rust and they seemed to get good reviews from others using them

The pads I chose after doing some research into which pads people were using with those types of rotors.

OBVIOUSLY if the guy was going to race on a track he would seek the

advice of other people on the track. At least I would hope so.

In the real world of normal driving on the street almost any set up is good.

If you are going to be driving the car hard you need to research what suits your needs.
