bad idle
#1
Ok i ve had no luck solving this idle issue.
I have a n/a s4 6 port that I had street ported. I can't seem to keep the car from dieing on me if I lower the rpms down under 1200 rpms. Also there are no lights or fans on when this hapens i t will just be ldeing the drop way down then back up then down to the piont of it almost dieing.
I've checked the bac valve by unplugging it and the rpms drop like they should.
The car idle great before I the rebuild. I also hooked up everything back exactly how it was when pulled.
What else could be giving me a bad idle?

Well that's what other people are telling mefrom other car formus.
Does this normally happen sence the motor was ported abit and I hooked everything back up the was it was when stock? I mean I really didn't adjust anything. As far as grounds and the tsp.
Let me know please cause today I have to get to emission and I wanted everything normal.

If you exceeded stock parameters and have done nothing to suppliment the fuel and air I would say that is the main problem, yes.
There are all kinds of ways to cause problems after a swap, sensors get dirty just from sitting around, grounds on the harnesses dont get hooked back up, or the attachment points are dirty/greasy. It always helps to take lots of pictures prior to removal and have a manual handy for reference points if you are an amatuer at this type of work.
