Mine gets great mileage considering it runs rich enough to toss a flame out every time it goes over 4k. I get 23mpg highway, and at worst 14.5 mpg if I'm taking it to redline off every 9/10 lights.
thats the key to mileage, right there. the o2 sensor only works below 3800rpms and 1 psi of boost, if you exceed either one of those it will go full rich

that's the same for me, i get 17 mpg on the road from here to san antonio, and 13 here in town (yeah, i usually shift at 4K at the earliest and everytime i drive it i push it to 7k at least once). Still, this last tank has been terrible, and should my exaust smell this bad?

with no smog equipment any fc will stink at idle.

regarding the poor mileage, your car is probably just running rich... you need to check everything but they all run rich with the stock engine management. might be time to check out an s-afc or go standalone.

Make sure that there no fuel leaking by the injectors. You could have a bad O-ring but I highly doubt it tho.

I lost about 1/4 of a tank in 30 seconds, when my fuel rail popped off. You might want to check for leaks.
