Well after 17 years and over 300k + miles, my antenna went. I turned off the car and heard this nasty noise coming frm the back and saw the antenna didn't go down. I tryed to push it down but doesn't go down now.

I think all i have to do is replace the special thing inside, the motor still works so i dont' have to replace the whole thing. Any one know what I need to make this cheap to repair. I dont' want to put one of those fixed antennas sold at stores. I want to have the power antenna.

I bought a universal power antenna from Best Buy, it fit near perfectly. The 2 holds on the mounting bracket were a tad to close, so I just had to expand one hole a little bit. It's worked fine since.

Thanks guys, I went to down to Mazdatrix and got the antenna mast replacement. Followed the instructions on http://www.mazdatrix.com/faq/86-92ant.htm and it worked beautifully, no curse words with the help of my turbo timer to make the job a one man operation.
