Wow, thats a great breakdown of the parts, ill have to add that to my pics



Jim i voted for ya in the 2nd Gen poll thing. Very nice car you have. Do you also post on Automotivefourms? I think i may have seen your car there.

The pic is right from Mazdatrix's site. My shifter gets hot too but it's b/c it's all solid metal. I drove around a while without any of the rubber pieces or trim on. It kinda blew in a little hot air but i liked being able to hear everything a little better.

My vert had the same problem.. i when I fixed it with a boot from another car it eliminated the heat.. the tranny tunnels still gets warm.. but not too hot like before..

yea that boot set on my shifter is pretty much gone...i dont have the top two and the large one is all strecthed out...how bout that inner boot thing??? i actually think it melted(is that possible)???????
