Ok I see three potential rebuild kits that should work for the stock turbo

Which one is the safest bet to get?

T3 GAS - INTEGRAL

CARBON SEAL

T3 GAS - ENCAPSULATED

CARBON SEAL

T04/T04B

Also is it possible to put a dynamic seal instead of carbon?

I called turbonetics and they told me which kit i needed, it was pretty cheap and the rebuild was pretty straight forward.

Iwas going to get my turbo rebuilt soon but then I found some guy selling T3/T4 hybrids with the stock turbo for $400. It's apparently a complete bolt in procedure.

Uh, no.

Maybe you want to tell us what "a complete bolt in procedure" is to you?

Well, sir, according to the guy that selling these, it has the flange to bolt up to the stock manifold and the oil lines and such screw right in without any modifications as does the stock down-pipe. I'm still waiting for pictures to see what it is. I'm guessing that it's a stock hitachi turbo with a TO4 compressor housing on it or something along those lines. The price is right though.

But that is what a "complete bolt in procedure" is to me, chap.

Maybe I should have elaborated on the T3/T4 hybrid part? I'm still wondering what exactly the specs are on this turbo, though.
