if i rebuild the stock twin turbos, i have heard they fail again real soon after, I am going to send them off to a turbo speciality place and have them rebuilt and ceramic coated and they will do it all for me for 1200 bux, but before i do it i want to be sure that these turbos work fine like new after rebuilt. does anyone know??? also my goal is 350whp will the stock turbos get me to that power level or should I be upgrading turbos???

You can get to 350rwhp on the stock twins, usually requires a built engine and the rest of the supporting mods however. Just an FYI we rebuild the stock twins and upgrade them for a lot less...

I have it listed on the website.

if i were aiming for 350 rwhp, i'd go ahead and look at a smallish single turbo..... you'll need most of the supporting mods either way, and a small single will clean up the engine bay and be less stressful on the engine.

Thanks for the help so far guys, I just already purchased a FMIC setup for the twins, and i already have a full exhaust bought for the twins also, thats why id love to keep the twins, my motor is going to get rebuilt this winter and have a good port/polish job done and of couse I am going to have all the mods my car can handle.. But Id like to keep the twins if possible my goal is 350whp but again i dont want to be killing my turbos in order to get it also.. I will send you a PM about rebuilding my turbos and upgrading and all that here shortly...

Just for curriousity what size turbo would you be refering to when you say a small one? like a t3/4E turbo, a to4e, 60-1 just currious cause i may look into it just depending all on price as I know I will be boosting 14-15psi..

A small to4B, or a more common turbo like a 57 trim To4E would do that job no problem with very quick spool.

I am looking at the single turbos, but I want the driveabilty of the stock twins, i love how they react at every level, and Like i said im not wanting to have a race car just a fun street car that can hit low 12's or even a high 11 possibly. anyways thats why I was looking at the twins just rebuilt and cleaned, coated exe... I want the engine bay to look great even with twins, and the performance is the last thing i honestly want to over due, I want my car to be reliable and clean and then fast.. hope ya guys follow what I mean. if i can run a low 12 I will be extremely happy!!!

I am thinking about a single now like a 60-1 turbo at around 14-15psi that should net me 350-370whp wouldnt ya think?? i have been searchin ebay and a few websites for them, I just want to make my rx7 as reliable as possible while still getting good performance from her. thats why im not shooting for 400-500whp :-P
