I wonder if i could put a bigger pulley on the air pump so that the pump spins faster therefore pumping more air. either way is is still putting more air into my engine so it should help a little bit, shouldn't it?

If you want the pump to spin faster you would need to use a smaller pulley not a larger one. A big one would slow the pump down. However I do not know if it will be beneficial.

Keep in mind, that you still need to obey the laws of thermodynamics. If the airpump could push enough air into the system to make a difference, without pulling energy from the engine, then it would work. However, the airpump is going to pull more energy from the engine that it can contribute, this is a law of physics. Otherwise, imagine putting say 4 airpumps on the engine, have each push ait into the intake, and get a massive boost. If this worked, every car would have it.

Also, the airpump requires that you *remove* air from the intake, you are basically just recycling air them (air comes into car, some gets diverted to airpump, *heated*, then dumped back into intake). Some of that air you just dumped in would get pulled back into the airpump, especially if you spool it up some.

This same law of physics means that the idea someone had a few days ago about running an AC line around the intake to cool it would not work, same reason, you can't get something for nothing.

doesnt an actual supercharger take power from the engine to run it though? even though it is not as significant as how much power it creates. and my airpump doesnt take air from my intake anymore thanks to mu CAI

the air pump doesnt move enough air to make a difference, try it you'll see

A supercharger isn't a magic box under the hood. You still need upgraded injectors, intake, exhaust, timing...the supercharger just allows these other mods to work effectively. You are gaining power, but you still put in more fuel to get there, therefore you are still not getting something for nothing.

Well, there goes that idea! thanx for explaining this whole thing to me! are there any other small mods that i could do that dont involve ripping my engine back out or any serious thing that would help the performance of my N/A? i already plan to get a new chip and a better exhaust, what else?
