The antenna on my nice 1990 RX7 GTU won't retract completely!

It will go up just fine. However when retracted about 6" of antenna remains extended.

I tried spraying silicone spray on the mast to help lube it. No help.

Can I replace just the mast or do I need a complete antenna?

I know with honda the mast and motor assembly comes seperate. Check with your local dealer however I've had about 50% luck with replacing them idividually, usually I end up replacing both.
