As good as the Factory Service Manuals are(FSM) they don't list ALL the wires in the wiring diagrams near the back of the books. Mazda has left wires out of the diagrams that are clearly in the harnesses.



Do you have these wiring diagrams and illustrations? If you dont have an FSM I would spend the dough to get one..

 

The only manual i have is a haynes which is what came in the car...might explain a few things. I've been looking for an 89 dealer FSM. Sounds like a good idea to me, probably will have some diagnostic flow charts to help.

New ones are spendy, I paid 75 for mine. There are a bunch of places on the net that have the manuals viewable by PDF documents, but they rarely do the diagrams.

 

Ok got one coming. Hopefully will help with testing sensors and setting timing that sorta thing that i have no idea how to do yet.
