does the 88 rx-7 have a turbo

 

If it's a TurboII... well, should be obvious.

What Model RX-7?



The only factory turbo offered was in the TurboII to answer your question.



GTU, GXL, VERT and every other model is/was NA from the factory

And TurboII doesnt mean its twin turbo. Its single.

There are actually numerous differences between S4 (86-88) and S5 (89-91) cars, both Turbo and N/A, not the least of which were engine refinements that yielded more horsepower.

It would say turbo II on the side if it said anything at all...looks like that one might say gxl but I can't tell. also, the turbo model would have a hood scoop which that one obviously does not.



BTW, 612 Rex7, my 87 s4 turbo II had 16' wheels in stock form.

 

is this one just as good then and how easy is it ti instal a turbo

 

you're better off buying a T2 car then converting a n/a to turbo.



1.rebuilt engine with high oil pressure



2. t2 rear end (or else you will turn your n/a rearend to mush)



3.the turbo intake manifold is larger then n/a



4.exhast work



by the time you add it up it will be the price of e good T2 car + more
