ok i have it fixed now and running just need to get it tuned now. but when it gets kinda warm at idle (about 5 mins of run time) im getting smoke from around the exhaust manifold?
i checked the oil lines and they seem to be ok could the turbo just be bad or somthing. it sounds like it spooling up ok

If the car has been sitting a while, I wouldn't worry too much. How much have you let the car run?
When I first started mine, it would heat up and smoke like crazy from the area around the turbo. Scared the **** out of me. After getting brave and letting the car run a while, it finally stopped. I believe it was a mixture of oil, brake fluid (leaking from the ABS pump) and nutshells left by furry woodland creatures.
I would check to make sure all the hose and pipe connections are tight and stand by with a fire extinguisher.

OK i let it run for a good 30 min. smoked stopped i had to change the injectors just noticed a little fuel leakeng.now i need to know what the best way to get the car to hold an idle. the car was striped of its BAC,air pump, air control valve and accelerated warm-up system solenoid valve. it feel pretty good when i hold the idle down at 1000 beside a slight sputter but there is just no idle on its own.
i noticed when my car sat for a while and we used A TON of PB blaster on the car so my guess is there was a bunch of chemicals sitting down on the manifold which burned off eventualy... but dont forget if the motor has been sitting and just finaly got it running its not gonna be in the greatest condition so carbon is going to need to be burned out of it...

this question is for a friend of mine that has a 93 rex. its was an automatic and he changed the motor and tranny to a 5spd. now he has fuel and spark but the car wont start
. when he did this conversion he did change the ECU and harness with this motor. would anybody know what this could be. i was thinking grounds but im sure he has them all together.
hes trying to get it running so he can make the trip with me to JPR. Imports and get both of them in there for some tuning. any thing is worth trying. thanks

OK i went to go take the car for a ride when i went to start it up the starter isn't spinning the flywheel like its not engaging all the way out to reach it. it sounds like its just pinning. i pulled it out teeth are good on the starter and flywheel checked the starter and its working perfect its a new rebuild one. i put it back in there and it does the same thing just spins. Did anybody ever have a problem like this.

ok i just replaced the starter again and all went well. i got the car out for its first run and like always another problem came about... when i get it around 30-40mph the right rear wheel starts to bounce. i checked the u-joints, bearing and they are all in good or new shape. i checked the strut and sping and they seems fine. wht could it be im almost ready to let the car go i love them and all but damn. just one thing after another.
