86 n/a build
Unplug the fuel pump/sending unit, turn the key on. At the plug the blue wire should be hot(12volts) and the black should be ground. The fuel pump relay is a shiny metal box on the drivers side inner fender just behind the trailing coilpack. I had to replace the fuelpump power wire on my 86 just after I got it. Make sure that the pump isnt stuck. If the car has been sitting for any length of time Im sure that the fuel left in the tank gummed up the pump, and its nearly impossible to clean it out. Just replace with walbro.
ive pulled the pump and it pumps fine i think the wiring or relay is bad i going to run new wires if this doesnt work its going down the road...anyone interested in an 86xxx miles parts car that could run... pm me
