i have a 4 puck, got the car with it... its a pretty stiff pedal but its like good feeling kinda like how you can feel the car more without power steering, it takes a little while to get used to the way you drive it but its cool...

i run the centerforce DF clutch in mine over 300 passes and still going

If you're talking about using the clutch for street use, the biggest thing IMO to consider is whether or not it has a sprung hub. Most unsprung hub clutches are meant for racing. I had an unsprung 4 puck disk (ACT) and it was a pain on the street.. extremely fast engagement. Some companies like Clutchnet make sprung hub six puck street/strip clutches which would be much better for street use.

Where would you recommend I get a sprung hub type clutch? That sounds more like something I would rather use.





Anybody recommend a short throw type shifter?

Their pressure plate design has remarkably light pedal pressure for such a high clamp clutch.



Also - adding an engine torque brace goes well with it.

I was wondering about these clutches. How is it holding up for you? How many miles have you put on it?

I installed that clutch 9 months ago, so it's too early to predict it's life.

From what I've observed hard launches & gear changes are no problem – it bites hard.

Soft slow easy starts are no problem – very gentile.

With medium quick starts it squeaks like it’s not happy.

And of course you want to rev match all up & down gear changes with any performance clutch.



How about that discount price on the turbo model?

Yeah, the price is unbelieveable for these things.

i was running that XTD 6puck sprung disk and PP. It worked nice, bites hard but not too hard. It does like to squeak if you try slipping it tho.
