2nd Gen at winter?

i drive mine all year round. mainly cause my fd has been broken that long. oh the 89 gtu beater..... everyone should have one

I had an 89 GTU for 3 years. None of my cars ever had a problem running in the cold weather, even when it was 0 degrees F outside.

I guess my springs are really shot lol. My car rides pretty low. in fact yes i know they are shot, 141,000 miles on em. but getting new struts and springs this summer, **** that means lowering springs will raise my car :0[/quote]

had 200k on my stock springs, the new eibach springs and agx shocks actually raised my front by one inch. That's how saggy they were.

wsup, I personally think if you're lookin' for a winter car, an RX-7 should not be the one. First off it is rear wheel drive, and 2nd why would you want to put it through the torture of winter. It'll get all rusted and everyhting. You're also risking crashing it because you're most likely gonna fishtail, even with good tires. How it starts up all depends on how good of condition your car is in. But I know that my first RX-7 didn't really like the cold weather too much. And with my new one, I wouldn't take the chance, because I love it too much . But if you don't mind washing your car everyday in the freezing cold, and if you think you can handle the ice with rear wheel drive in a pretty powerful car,then go for it.

Change your transmission fluid to Redline MT90, that'll get rid of your cold shifting problems... Worked for me, my daily shifts real nice now, even when *very* cold.

They don't have any problems, I'm not sure about all 7's but my GXL has a sub zero starting system.
