I don't have rx-7 and I would love the 2nd gen but how well does it go on ice and snow and does it start in -20 degrees celsius, and that kind of things... cars are kind of expensive in finland and it would be my only car... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

It should start up fine, as long as the electrical system is working well. The car should be ok in light snow with good all season tires. Snow tires would be a better bet if you get heavy snow.

also remember the ground clearance. I don't drive my 7 in the winter becuz there is no traction what so ever, and i would spin out and get stuck daily. I don;t know how snow tires would work though. I have toyo proxes and they're performance tires. Plus i don't want rust and i don't want to risk getting hit. It starts below temps, but i let it warm up, becuz all the fluids are like frozen and i can't shift and my powersteering don't work until it warms up.

RX-7's handle fine with all season or snow tires. They have close to a 50/50 balance. They'll clear a decent amount of snow if they're stock.

I've only slid once in the snow w/ my seven..and that was w/ skinny all season 185 tires! I don't drive mine in the snow anymore though...Z rated tires and +HP https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

The RX-7 is probably a bit too low to be a good winter car, even with snow tires.

You could try using a front spoiler as a snow plow.

I guess my springs are really shot https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png lol. My car rides pretty low. in fact yes i know they are shot, 141,000 miles on em. but getting new struts and springs this summer, **** that means lowering springs will raise my car :0

Yeah, old springs usually sag alot.

damn! -20 celsuis? wow. i have my n/a for winter driving and its been fine starting at any temperature. sometimes in the morning its like 20 degrees fahrenheit (not sure in C...but below freezing)
