i also have a 57 chevy and the short block striped totally down took 3 of us to lift it to put it in the pickup. when i did the enigine in my FC i stuck it in the engine bay with a lift and aligned it with the tranny by hand.

Yeah with an old 1st gen of mine, the motor went bad so I wanted to do a 350 chevy until I got the 350 from a friend and it was the heaviest damn thing. Rediculous!! But yeah I've carried my old 13B around my garage but yeah it wasn't easy. 12A's are much easier.
