Does anyone know the rule of thumb for how much weight equals hp? Like if i take off 100lbs how much hp do i get? :sigh:

about 10:1 loose a hundred pounds get 10 ponies

:0 wow so for free i gained 15! UGH, the best hp ever. I know it too becuz i had it weighed. Is that with every car or just ours? If not is there a way to figure it out for all cars??

any car... had to ask my old man hes an old drag racer and thats what he said, and i trust him with his help i got my old eagle talon pushing high 11s in the quarter with the A/C pumping

yeah has something to do with physics. 10hp per lb sounds ok to me

Um guys, taking off weight doesn't add any horsepower. None, zero, zilch. It simply makes the car lighter and the available power can accelerate a lighter car quicker than before.



And the rule of thumb with weight and ETs at the dragstrip is generally 100 lbs. takes off 0.1 seconds.



Once again, taking off weight does not add power!!
