13b Swaps
#1
Ok, as some of you know my lil 87 SE project car idea fell through.
Anyways due to this i'm back in the car market scanning ads and what not but due to the fact that EVERY single damn rx-7 is located on the east or west coast and i liev smack dab in the middle of the US i am beginning to wonder if an rx-7 is ever gonna happen.
However i still want a rotary badly. Everytime i think of one i just get that warm fuzzy feeling inside, i dont know if thats normal or not but i NEED a rotary. However money is a little problem because i dont have enough money to easily find a car that is in my price range. But here's my idea.
I buy an engine and rebuild it. I have the money for that and can do that now if i wanted to. Rebuild a series 5 engine and also it gives me something to tinker around on before summer gets out. Then sometime along the course of next year swap it into something maybe. Would be even remotely possible to swap it into a 92-96 Prelude? I love those bodystyles but theyre FWD and how intense would a conversion be? And how expensive too? Thing is noone at all drives a rotary that i know of whatsoever and on those cars i was thinking itd save a lot of weight over the H22 and give it better weight distrubition Anyways at the end of my brainstorming i realized that was a dumb as **** idea, at least the engine swap part but maybe i just need someone else to tell me that it is before i'll believe it.

A lot of guys on here have two cars, one for play and one for everyday driving. I know you said your money is tight but those style Preludes still aren't very cheap... especially if you were thinking any kind of engine swap. You should consider what is practical and how fast you think you need to go on the street.
