Fd To Fc Swaps...
#1
I know a big thing for many 240 fans out there is to upgrade to a lot of 300Z stuff on their car. A friend of mine will be running 300Z brakes soon, another one swears by putting only 300Z fuel filter in his car. So my question is, can we do the same thing? Could I put an FD fuel filter on my NA FC? Or could I upgrade my brakes in a similar fashion?
Thanks

No. The calipers won't just bolt right up. And the fuel filter has a different inlet. There wouldn't be a point, plus it's more expensive. There are some parts from an FD that you can use. The alternator is better and can be installed with minor modification. And the fuel pump is a good upgrade for a TII.

fuel filter would work, but once you see one you'll change your mind it has like two 90 %%d bends on it. And it's rediculously expensive for what it is. Just get a nice aftermarket one, it'll work better and be cheaper. Possibly even get one with a exchangable filter.
Just upgrade to the 4 piston fc brakes, they're almost the same (if it isn't the same) damn caliper, and it's an easy swap. (i'm assuming you have the single caliper brakes) if you ahve 4 lug it's not going to be as easy because you'll have to change your hubs.

Things worth taking on an fd are oil pump/stationary gears, corner seal spring, uim, alternator, fuel pump...
