i have a 89 gtu with no engine and i have a 85 with a good running engine

i think it is somewear about 170 horses but my fd body is falling apart and is compleatly rusted out, i know the trany will bolt up but how hard would it be to mount it? it seems pointless but i would like to set my fd on fire right now

and my fc is in perfect condishon. plese give me some tips if you can i have a idea of what i need to do but i don't know everything.

thanx

you would need to custom fabricate brackets to use the fc motor mount locations, they are totally different.

Sell the 12a and get a used engine or get the old one rebuilted. Not worth the trouble to downsize. You will have to go carburated since the 12a is not fuel injected like the 13b

Seems like way too much work just for a normal 12a. Just get a nice 13b and drop in there.
