I have an '82 with a blown 12a in it. I can get a strong running '84 engine cheaply from a friend. I was just wondering what I would have to modify to get the car running with the 82 manual tranny. Will there be any issues from just dropping the engine in, such as the flywheel/clutch, fuel, cooling, oiling, and any other things I may have forgotten.

Thanks,

Eric

it basically goes right in, you need to use the 84 flywheel, it would be easiest to use the 81 carb and smog stuff but otherwise its cake

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll get to breathe new life into into the rotary rocket.

Kick ***. I'm getting an 82 and I have an 84 motor already. So only things to note, use 84 flywheel and 82 carb and emissions crap right?

yup, there are a couple little things that change between 82-84 so you just use all the 82 stuff, and the 84 block
