Yes. I also have a launch kit from Pettit. When I last drove the car at 450 WHP, you could break the tires loose on all 4 gears. The 20B is pretty amazing.

"you could break the tires loose on all 4 gears." ...That just sounds Awsome!

It was a lot of fun. We did this on an entrance ramp to I75 in downtown Atlanta

As a teenager, I was always excited to get rubber in second gear with my GSLSE! I can't imagine the fun you've had.

David,

I've been following along for a while now with your project. I've done most of the work myself and nearing 3 years, next month actually. Anyway, my question is, I'm going with some 18x12 rears and was wondering your offset, (I realize your rims are 12.5" though)? I also have flared rear fenders.

I'm curious because the time to order wheels is rapidly approaching and there is a 3 month wait once they're ordered. I have some Michelin 335's waiting to be wrapped around some Work wheels, just need to figure out that offset.

That's a good question that I don't have the answer to unfortunately. The car is at Gotham so I can't run out and look but I've asked them to get back to me on this. They're swamped and this is surely low priority. I used to tell people to contact Jeff at Pettit - he's the guy that ordered the wheels for me - but he no longer works there. I'm planning on going to Gotham in the next few weeks and can have the answer then.

No problem man. I've been told so many different offsets by different people speculating, I just wanted to get some hard numbers and compare.

This project is taking forever!

I keep getting side tracked and I am having trouble with motivation!

I have the new Haltech Flying Lead and could easily hook it up, but I would rather purchase an old GSLSE and get running (after 8 years of sitting), or work on my original GSLSE, or my FD, or my A4, or pick my butt!

I seem to spend a lot of time staring at it when I go into the garage. Maybe if I just saw it run again, it would repeak my interest.

Anyone else go through this feeling with their 20b project?
