Intake Port
#4
Ok it's at my house, and it's a beauty. I've taken off most of the accessories components and about to trash them. There seems to be quite a bit of carbon deposit in the intake manifold.....what is that indicative off?
Also, the 20b is rated at 300hp; that's 100 per rotor. An FD is rated 255, which is 127.5 hp per rotor. Why the difference? I can see why some people replace the housings with ones from an FD.
The turbos are much bigger than an FD's, though I'm thinking about a single turbo. It's not part of the original plan.....but what the heck.

i don't think the fd tb would fit, i think 20b tb have more air flow for that extra rotor.
my engine a carbon too.
turn out the gasket broke betten lower intake manifol and housing.
broke where the exhaust come out to the avc.
so... i filled those hold. ahhaha
hope that help

on the 20b, the idle control valve is in at the TB. I've seen pics of people using a TB from an FD. How would they control idle?
Also, where could I buy gaskets that are exclusive on a 20b?

The FD's idle solenoid valve is not on the TB but on the upper intake manifold. The 20b's idle solenoid valve is on its TB......but that's neither here nor there.
The exhaust ports of the 20b is smaller and more restrictive than an FD's. I think this is where the power difference comes in. I don't feel like swapping housings right now, so screw it.
Thanks Mike for the parts connection.
