It wasn't a problem today. I picked up that little brass fitting and then set up the drillpress. It worked out really well. Each fitting now has an internal diameter of at least 3/8". The stock oil system is 10mm, and 3/8" is pretty close. Infact, some of the fittings had to be repositioned back in the vice, and as a result, couldn't be put back in the exact same postion as before, so they got another licking with the 3/8" bit; just for the fun of it. I made sure that a couple different styles of 3/8" bits could slide easily into each fitting before I was satisfied. That ought to be good enough.

I'm going to deburr the insides of the fittings today and install them. I think the Trailing part of the dizzy housing will need to be hacksawed off to make room, but that's ok. It's for a good cause. Man, this dizzy was still able to be put back to stock if necessary. I guess this will render it somewhat impotent.
Check out the front oil bolt on this JDM car. It's really close to the trailing part. Imagine a brass fitting on the bolt head.

The oil fitting is done. It's got plenty of hylomar as a thread sealant. I hope it will hold 100PSI without leaks. I also chopped off the trailing part of the dizzy so it would fit. It looks a little unusual, and is probably maybe a bit fragile, but it sticks out the same distance as the AC and PS bracket studs in the front cover, so it's already got plenty of clearance on that side of the engine.
It's getting harder to move around in the garage. I think today is a good day to actually put stuff away for once.

I gooped up the RB filter blockoff and some 1/8" fittings with hylomar and assembled them. Then I blew some compressed air through the 1/16 NPT side of the oil pressure guage fitting and out came a hylomar booger. I think the nylon pressure guage tube will remain clear now.

I think it's a stock '79-'82 style. I'm also going to be using an '83-'85 tall style radiator. It'll basically have GSL cooling after a beehive to an air oil cooler swap. I've seen some 1st gens with large Isuzu NPR or similar FMICs that are as low or lower than the stock are dam. This car will be like that with this tall radiator, if I can get it to fit. I'm fairly confident it will. It'll just use some 90º rad hose elbows and a couple connecting pipes and it should work.
