I just pulled out my wiper assembly to check for cowl rust, and give it a much needed cleaning. I did find

that the nylon pop on bushing where the motor attaches to the linkage, is totally shot. Do they carry

these in the help section of auto parts stores?? I called Victoria British(black dragon, lol) and they knew less

about it than I do. Is there any other choice besides the dealer?? I'd HATE to drive 20-25 miles round trip to the nearest Mazda dealer to ORDER a two dollar part, only to drive another 20-25 miles to pick it up.,,,,BB,

Of course. Why should this be any different? I'm about two seconds from getting some Chevy parts from the junkyard, cutting the pieces offf, and welding it all up.,,,,BB

My point being, I will have a nearly inexhaustible amount of bushings, and for $4.99.,,,,BB

Well, my wiper motor is fine. It;'s just the bushing where it attaches to the linkage that is bad. Originally they were encased in rubber. The others are in the assembly, and there's the tattered remnants of it on this one. The $130 is for the two wiper arm shafts, the link

that goes between them, and the link to the motor.

What I was planning was to get at least the ball joint, and an end it attaches to, from a car where the bushings are readily available and cheap. With some measuring, I should be able to get very close. I will have to be careful which ones I choose, since there's not much clearance once it's installed.,,,,BB

I'll take some pics of it during the process.
