Can Dealer Clean Injectors???
#1
My 86 na still has some hesitation at many different rpm ranges and loadings. Tried the grounds and all the easy stuff. The Mazda dealer says they can clean the injectors by splicing into the fuel line and running the car off just the injector cleaner. They also clean the induction system which the say may have alot of carbon. All for about $100 dollars. Any one heard of this??? thanks

Yeah as a matter of fact we just learned how to do this kind of stuff in my trans tech class. It might be possible for you to do it yourself but i don't know where to get the cleaner. It's some wicked **** you can't just buy at autozone. I don't know about the whole induction system being full with carbon though. What induction are you talking about? $100 bucks sounds reasonable though.

The dealer said that carbon builds up in the intake near the intake ports to the engine...at least I think that is what they meant. If I had more time I'd pull the injectors and send them out but too much stuff going on.

Where are you from? Please take the car away from the dealer, they will rip you off for their incompentence on rx7s. Either find someone that specializes in rx7 or We can help you thru here.
I would test the TPS first
