i know my exhaust heats up quite nicely and blackens the bumper a little bit, and you did say your exhaust runs pretty hot, and by the way it felt to me from standing behind, compared to mine its alot hotter. bens fd does that too, i think it may just be an rx7 thing.

running rich?

brianhsval 01-24-2005 04:08 PM

I second the running rich.

Cracked head.............I almost missed the bottom of that...laughing to hard.

Shane.Trammell 01-24-2005 04:37 PM

And what makes you think that?

The set screw for the fuel is on the passenger side just back from the air filter. Little black thing with a screw in it. This should NOT be screwed with by just anyone or turned just any which way. If in doubt either take it to someone that knows what they are doing or read the book extreamly well. That screw is for the fuel adj. and is marked with a L and R. This is NOT left and right! It is for lean or rich. Mess it up and it will take you awhile to get it back right. Adjustment should also be made with the air when making these adjustments. If you are going to try this on your own I would suggest a pen and paper, count the revs that you turn the air idle srew and write it down. Aslo a marker to mark the spot the fuel was originaly set. Write that down also. Then fool with it all you like, drive it around and carry a small flat tip with you. Also might want to check the timing when setting all this. Just a thought.
