accelerater diaphram check it... it should be on the base of the carb maybe it is leaking or just shot??... check the jets to... like pull them out and apart, they are 2 peices air and fuel jet make shure everything is spotless, when i got my dellorto 48dhla it was clean but it would not start unless i put gas in it, so i tooc it completely apart and cleaned it to the bone, and i noticed the accl. diaphram was toast so i looked around and got a holly one to work, put it all together and vroom it starts, i was like yay!!!! oh and i had the in line fuel filter on backwords to that helps to have those on right.....

I'll try again but mind you this carb only has seen 10 hours of life since it was new tho.

i have noticed that even when stuff is new when gas hits it and it sits, like seals and o'rings, once oxygen hits them the crack but yah anyway, thats all i could possibly think of, if you checked the jets"ok" getting fuel "ok" thats got to be it its the only thing left that would be making the problem.....and you are totaly shure that the fuel pump is filling the bowls with gas????...... have you checked your neadle and seat??? if you don't know what this is it is what the floats push up and it blockes off the passag of fuel, if this is stuck for any reason there is another problem....

Floats and everything move freely. Plus the bowl fills after you drain the carb and put it back on the car.
