What would be wrong if my car starts by dumping fuel thru the jets and its getting fuel to the carb body but not too the jets?

Thanks

depends, are you SURE you get fuel to the carb?I had a similar problem thinking I was getting fuel them just found out it was a pump fuse. just take off your incoming fuel line to make sure. but if it is the carb could be a # of things, like clogged jets, bad floats, mixture/idle screw incorrectly tuned.........so I guess if you are getting fuel soak it with some carb cleaner and start from there, sorry its not much help but hoefully it gets you in the ballpark

Carb was used for 10 hours before I bought it but thats all the use it had.Its new other wise.I get fuel to the body of carb because I tested that this last weekend. That when I started it by sending fuel thru the jets. The carb won't spray it on its own.

K, my question is, how long has the carb sat? if its been more than oh say 2 weeks there is a good chance gas could have varnished in the jets, clogging them, I'd say give it a good cleaning. also check your carb sight glass to check that its at the proper level

BTW- do you mean the JETS or BARRELS? if your getting fuel threw the jets then everythign is OK. Jets are the little tubes inside of the barrels that go through the ventturies that squrit the fuel

EDIT: I know this is nothing like the carb you have, but you get the idea LOL

Carb has been on my car for 2 months not running and it was running on a car for 10 months prior to my purchase of it.It was new before those 10 hours of use tho.Thats why everything is so clean and carbon free.
