Some people are absolute dreamers!
Theres a guy who advertised an 84 (same as mine exactly), but the ad said it was unlicensed and damaged. He was asking $2000!!!!! I paid $2200 for licensed and no damage!
But the funny part is, today his ad is in the parts section and reads:
Mazda RX7 coupe, 1984, auto hatch, 2dr, 12A
motor, all extras, unlic, suit restoration $1500ono
Bwahahahahaha !!!
Such an uneducated soul. Doesn't coupe mean 2 doors and damaged now means suit restoration after a $500 decrease.
So anyway, I ring this guy up and I said, will you part it, cos I don't need the whole thing, I've already got most of it already, just need like drivers door and rear bumper, etc.
And he says, NO, he wants to sell it complete.
Maybe if he was selling it for $500 complete, I would understand, but $1500, what a dreamer.
So anyway, I'll let him sweat another month, (cos theres NO WAY he'll sell it at that price, ever) then ask him again if he'll part it. If not, I'll be nice and offer him $700 or so for it.
But seriously, I've seen worse than that, I once saw an 84 advertised (last year some time) for about $9000, and the advert said it was in original condition. hmmm, Only if you NEVER drove it and had it garaged for the past 19 years would an 84 be worth $9000.
