Hi,

I just bought a 85 gs and when I drive it between 30 and about 60, the rear end is constantly humming at a high pitch. I was wondering if that was normal or what. Any help you guys could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Sounds like bearings.Mine were replaced just before I bought it so mine makes absolutly no noises from the back. But it could just be low on fluid.Make sure the diff doesn't have any leaks first.

I don't see any leaks, and i just changed the fluid a little more than a week ago. I was thinking my wheel bearings, but wasn't sue if anyone else had this problem.

Thanks,

Chris

My car had 180,000 and the previous owner said that the stock wheel bearing were going so I guess it might be a possibility.
