Will the stock nikki carb work until I get something better? I have a project underway, an 83 gs that I wanna put a 12a streetport in. I'll later upgrade to a weber/dellorto sidedraft but the project will probably sap my funds for awhile.

Thanks guys.

I was thinking that. I'm looking at getting it all put together, then dropping some cash on the RB upper manifold for the weber/dellorto and buying a weber dcoe or dellorto dhla similar to this one:

Along w/ RB Header and street/strip clutch & pressure plate.

Also, what all of the "rats nest" is required? I want the install to be as simple as possible.

Anything else I should pick up ?

Also, is a 40mm Dellorto going to be enough? Or should I go with something like a weber 45 dcoe ? dellorto 48 dhla?

The 40mm is way too small for a streetport. 45mm is good for stock port, and a small street. But if you want to get all the power out of a streetport go with the 48mm.
