Well I replaced the Master Cylinder for the brakes.. Fixed that problem.. Now I have an oil leak coming from the oil pan. I cranked the bolts down as a temp fix but I will need to replace the gasket. Where's the cheapest place to pick up a gasket and can you remove the oil pan without pulling the engine. I have access to a 25,000 pound hoist just can't drive to it yet to see for myself... I've checked Mazdatrix and RacingBeat but I can't imagine that little of a gasket costing $30+.

silicon works better. you can drop the pan without pulling the motor but you have to drop the center link of the steering

That's the price of a oil pan gasket, it sucks. What do you us specifically j9fd3s?

Make sure that when you reinstall the oil pan you don't overtighten the bolts. That's where most leaks originate (in my experience). They should be just tight enough that they won't come out but are still easy to remove later.

Yeah, use silicone, not a gasket. Selastic is good.

Well I got some of that gasket paper for a couple bucks... If I can't make my own I guess I'll have to turn to silicon. Thanks guys
