Aftermarket oil coolers tend to be raw aluminum, no black paint. I got one for my GSL-SE (cheaper than Mazda part, exactly the same and a perfect fit)

Did you remove the paint and polish that one out? Cause the oil cooler I saw is black..At this point its an oil cooler..and I can get the lines made...and was plan on getting them made...So it will fit.. Im getting off this water cooled oil cooler under the filter and going air cooled.. |

I'd keep the tall radiator and just fab some brackets. I made mine out of flatbar in like 5 minutes.

They are Mazdatrix lines that were on a GXL parts car I had.

I am going with a air cooler on my 84 when I do my swap. I think im going to use the brackets off the AC condencer and some self taping screws for mine
