Can you use just a universal kit on an RX-7 or do you need a special kit? Who makes a good kit? What all would i need besides a kit? And how well would nitrous go on a carborated motor? Most of my knowledge comes from hondas and other piston motors. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I heard summit sells a NOS kit for the 12a carb motors. What year is yours?13b or 12a?I think NOS would be your best bet if your running a carb on it.You should ask the company tho if they make a kit for your car before you order tho.Welcome to nopistons.

The kit that is sold for the 12a is the four cylider fogger system. If you want to run nitrous so bad, buy a Holly carb kit from Racingbeat and then pick a plate system in the neighbor hood of 125hp. And as mention on the "other" board, always stay one fuel jet more rich than the nitrous.

What do you guys think is a "relatively" safe amount of nitrous for a 12a?

**** what I really mean is I got a 12a with a 48ida weber setup and I want to run a fogger setup and I was originally thinking a little 50 shot, but i was talking to a friend and he said he shoots 125 all the time with no problems....

What luck good or bad? have any of you had with nitrous...

Just think of it this way with a turbo you can add 100+ horsepower worth of air, so why cann't you do this with nitrous oxide???? 125-150hp is about where I would stop before going inside the motor and beefing it up a little (oil mods, extra dowls hardend stationary gears, ect ect)
