i just got a 83 rx-7 about 2 months ago. it ran perfectly, except it needed to reved to 2.5 to make it go. anyways i was just leaving from a stop sign and i heard a loud pop from the exhaust(that happens a lot) and the car turned off. i tried to start it for a while but it didnt start. while we were pushing it back to my house my friend got in and tried to start it, he pumped the gas many times and it started. soon as it started tons of blue smoke came out. it also sounded like it was misfiring so i checked the spark plugs and they were black (so its burning oil). i cleaned them and started it again and it ran fine for a minute and turned off again. while it started we noticed the oil pressure was getting very high. for some reason i also did a comopression test with all the plugs out and it sounds fine, continueious shh shhs noises.

so i was hoping if ANYBODY can HELP me out, it would be appreciated.

 

sounds like a vacum leak. Check all you hose and cap connections around the base of the intake.
