we were running performance friction, they actually made us several sets in the nascar compound (i think, #06).

they do make pads for FD/FC, i think they are like $300 a set though

Ah .. didn't realize the name was performance friction. 300$ isn't as bad as I thought so i might take a look at their site to see. How do you compare them to the HP+ if you ever had those on the car or something like those pads.

hp+ is like 20 year old crap! the PFC pads are easier on the rotors, they modulate better, grip better, don't fade, in a sprint type situation they should last forever, enduro setup they wear faster, but should be comparable to hp+.

a sprint race is like full speed for 15 minutes, our enduro is 90% speed for 25 hours. street would be more like a sprint

well finally got my sturt tower bar installed, and had some time to go out and measure wheel backspacing. Looks like I'll be running 4.4" backspace inthe front now and about 4.9" in the rear.

j9fd3s 03-16-2009 01:07 PM

interesting the backspace is different front and rear, you have rood for 15x8 up front?

nice strut bar BTW

Ya actually i even did some more homework and i can get a backspacing of 5.8" for an even better fitment in the rear. As for the front I think that I can afford another .1" to bring me to 4.5" and an offset of 0 now, but ya the wheels will stick out of the fender a bit (Probably around 1/2- 3/4")

j9fd3s 03-17-2009 12:19 PM

if you have some negative camber it tucks the tire in at the top, among other things.

this is FC but the local OG guys were stunned when i put 17x8's with 235's on the front of a stock fender FC, they told me you couldn't fit more than a 215 up there! so it was a good thing they told me that AFTER i did it

Ya but in my case I'm more worried about rubbing on the fender than anything else, and negative camber is going to make things even worse. I know I would be fine with the stock brakes but under heavy braking with the T2 ... i'm not 100% sure.

Would be nice to see some competition from the FB side. What all do you have done to your car? I just got some 15x7 explorer rims for the mean time till I get the custom rims. I painted them in a graphite color. I've attached some before and after pictures.
