Good Morning Heronout;

The only problem with the spacer thing on a Carb is that you have to do the math.

For every 1/4 inch of lift you may have to change the Jet size and this is where it gets tech.

I've seen a 1 inch height difference, you will have to go up to as much 3 steps up on the Jet size to compensate for Air versus Fuel dilevery. Go to Felixs web site and it gets into this issue in length. Not to discourage you on this adventure, just do the resurch 1st.

Have Fun

steve

ooh **** it. i dont need one i guess. anyways, at this point all i need now is the gasket kit for the carb and an intake gasket. and block off a few things here and there, and ill be ready to try and crank it up. im wondering if this will be my last try, to get it working. if i crank it, and its just the same, im lighting a fuel line and running.

Don't forget to tell insurance that your 12a was a race build engine too. They might give you more for it.I hope it starts for you.
