Just Got My 79 Tonight!

whats up everyone. i just got a 1979 rx7. the best part is i got it off a friend for 100 bucks!!! perfect body the engine runs great the only prob is that 3rd and 4th gears are going out. he bought it for the hell of it from a tow yard like a year ago i got it running again he drove it for a while and just didnt want it any more. i'm ****** stoked!!!!!!!! just thought i would say whats up

Hey thats aweet deal. I've got a five speed for your 79. 79-80 trannys are shorter, the tail housings are shorter. you can use a 81-85 tranny but they are longer. you would have to enlarge the hole in the tranny tunnel. then I believe you would need a different tranny cross member, I think. Oh and a drive shaft. If yor interested let me know good luck!!!!!!!!!

cant go wrong for $100.



reminds me of the time this guy i know sold his rx for $300 cos he thought the engine was blown... the new owner put fuel in it and was on his way with a great deal.
