time for a dumb question. How many fuel injectors are there in a 13B engine? A mechanic told me four at $280 apiece. I thought there were two.

 

There are 4 injectors: two primary and two secondary. On a gsl-se the injectors are all the same size which is 550 cc I believe. Are your injectors clogged or something? It would be cheaper to just have them cleaned, that is if they are working properly.

 

thanks, I guess I was wrong. BTW apparently one or my injectors leaks after shut off. I get a lot of gas in my oil. I've put a kill switch inline to the fuel pump and this improved the problem but did not cure it.

 

Well I am not positive but having them cleaned might help stop them from leaking. Check out rcengineering

 

the 1984-85 gsl-se's only have 2 680cc injectors

the 86+ 13b's all have 4

it looks like the renisis has 6 btw...

Woops! sorry, not my intention to give out bad advice, my apologies to Kennedy. I have never owned an SE so I just figured they had 4 injectors as well as the 2nd gen 13B's. I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!

 

Yeah I thought they only had 2 but dam...4..theres another reason whyI wont go FI....
