thought it was flooded so i went through the unflooding procedure for a while but still nothing. Checked spark, its there. Plugs are fine. No gas smell from the exhaust or from turning over with the trailing plugs out, even with the pump connected. Im going to check voltage at the pump connector in the bin, and at the pump itself i guess. Where else should i check? Where is the fuel pump relay?

does the tach bounce when you're cranking? if the trailing ignition goes, then the fuel goes with it, as they run off of that signal

Yes the tach does bounce. I'm going to check the afm. Is there a pump relay?

the car started today. it did this a few days ago too. im going to keep shutting it off by disconnecting the fuel pump just to rule out leaking injectors. any ideas why it would work sometimes and not others?

used the car today, turned it off and on a few times, always shut it off by disconnecting the fuel pump. now it wont start again. there is 10v at the fuel pump connector in the bin. i checked the resistance on the afm and it seems to be right. there is spark on all four plugs. havent been able to check the injectors yet.

what could cause this to work sometimes and not others? cpu short maybe? seems like if i had 1 injector working it would at least start and run poorly.

Can you jump the pump (under the rear bin drivers side)? If you are cranking it and not smelling gas or getting wet plugs, double check the pump is working. With the pump jumped you should be able to start the car.

its not started and then started twice today. I know the pump is getting power bc even when it doesnt start there is 10v there. Could this be the pump going out?

That is the other reason to "jump" the pump. You can assure it is working and fuel is flowing through the system without having to turn the key.
